Returning to Doula Work!

Hi Everyone!

After taking a break to have my own baby, I am going to start dipping my toes back into doula work again! 

A little update on my life:

I am continuing to work on my full spectrum doula certification.  I am almost done. The end is in sight! The last portion of my training is becoming a Certified Breastfeeding Counselor.  I am so excited to dig into breastfeeding more and learn how to support mamas in that area better.  God not only designed women’s bodies to grow and birth a baby, but then to feed that baby with her body.  Amazing!

Our family life has been hectic lately. But especially crazy since we saw those two little pink lines in September 2023.  It was a difficult pregnancy that turned into a difficult postpartum season.  His birth was amazing, but the postpartum season has been challenging.  But I am so thankful.  The Lord has brought us through some very difficult things.  He has sustained us and strengthened my faith, and He is continuing to sustain us.

I was recently privileged to get to support my best friend when she had her baby.  Since then, my excitement has grown to get back into doula work again! I love this work.  It is such a beautiful opportunity to come alongside a woman, to support her through the challenges and joys of having a baby.  As I was driving home from her birth, I was hit with awe that the Lord has allowed me to do this work.  It is such a privilege and honor!

So what does this mean for Beautiful Blessings Doula Services?

I am trusting the Lord to lead me.  He has called me to this work and I can trust that He will provide for it.  I want to follow His lead and when He opens a door, walk through it in faith.  I’m not sure what exactly it will look like, but I am now accepting clients with due dates Summer 2025 and following!  I also have Childbirth Education and Postpartum/Newborn Care classes available.  So, if you are a mama expecting a baby and are looking for doula support or would like to take one of my classes, don’t hesitate to reach out!
